Increased Prevalence of Obstructive Sleep Apnea

https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/23589584

Obstructive Sleep Apnea is on the rise!

Where this has been studied and National Health Data bases were accessed, in the United States, increase in weight appears to be correlated with a rise in sleep apnea.

There have been substantial increases of sleep apnea in the 30-49 year old cohort. (14-55%)!

This data compares from 1988-1994 to 2007-2010.

There does not appear to be any slowing of this epidemic.
