Sleep Apnea and Insomnia
There are a high number of insomnia complaints in patients suffering from Obstructive Sleep Apnea (OSA).
Insomnia is defined as trouble falling asleep, trouble stating asleep and early morning awakening (for example 4am).
Studies show a range of 42-54.9% of patients have both OSA and insomnia.
It seems to be especially marjed amongst elderly patients.
